Resilience and Yoga Go Hand in Hand

Everyone, no matter who you are, is a little bit scared to take the first step. Is yoga for me? Is it too hard? What if I don't fit in? Who is in this community anyway?

Read some stories of people in our community and know that when you're ready, we are ready for you!

As a seasoned yoga practitioner and instructor, I don't often attend classes taught by other instructors. I was, however, looking for motivation in order to tone my body and get more fit in general. I decided to try Cristy's Yoga Bootcamp class.

I was hooked after the first class because not only was I motivated to challenge myself and hang in there, but I was unconditionally welcomed immediately into a wonderfully supportive community. A place where I always feel safe and encouraged... where showing up just as I am is enough.

Cristy reinforces that trying means I never fail, that I am strong and that practicing yoga in a bootcamp style class will keep me strong not only in my body (I have seen a change in my physical body after only a few weeks and it is remarkable... it makes me feel better about myself), but in my mind and my spirit.

I made my way to yoga 3 years ago and it changed my life in the most amazing way.  Cristy quickly became more than just a yoga teacher to me—she became a role model, mentor, cheerleader and friend.

Her medical background and experience as a yoga teacher helped me to feel confident and empowered in my journey back from chronic pain. If you want a safe space to learn, explore, get stronger and find community, Cristy’s class is the place for you!

My husband and I have been introduced to yoga online during the last few months and we can honestly say it’s been a blessing. We hadn’t done yoga before, and will definitely keep it up as part of our daily lives.

It has been wonderful to help us clear our minds, slow ourselves down, learn about our bodies, and discover and build strength and energy we didn’t know we had.

Thank you, Cristy, for opening our lives to our yoga journey.
